The Urhobo Foundation is a non-partisan, intellectual and cultural movement committed to the holistic development of Urhobo Land and the empowerment of its people. Founded in 2018, the Foundation was born out of a shared passion by a group of visionary Urhobo men and women who saw the urgent need to revitalize, reposition, and reimagine the socio-economic and cultural trajectory of the Urhobo Nation.

Led by the distinguished Arc. Dr. Charles Majoroh Oghenovo, alongside Daniel Esiekpe, Akpo Abogo Avbovbo, and Lady Philomena Salubi, the Foundation was established in collaboration with other dedicated Urhobo patriots who came together with one unified purpose: to protect the heritage of the Urhobo people while charting a progressive course for future generations.

Urhobo Foundation operates as an intellectual forum and a catalyst for change—championing development through research, strategic advocacy, cultural renaissance, and community-driven programs. We believe that the strength of the Urhobo Nation lies not only in its rich cultural heritage and natural resources but also in the resourcefulness, resilience, and unity of its people.

Our work is anchored in research-driven interventions, interactive stakeholder engagements, empowerment programs, and developmental projects that speak directly to the unique needs of our people and land. Through these efforts, we aim to harness the full potential of Urhobo human capital, foster leadership, and elevate Urhobo voices in national and international discourse.

As a growing network of professionals, academics, youth, traditional leaders, and cultural custodians both in Nigeria and in the diaspora, Urhobo Foundation remains steadfast in its mission to build a prosperous, peaceful, and united Urhobo Nation.
